Living in limbo - better to just visit Living in Limbo – it's a place I would rather just visit We have all been there, stuck a bit, waiting…. Waiting…. For a plan to come together, Plans that can’t be put into action right now for whatever reason but they are in full flight in your head It is anxiety provoking to say the least. Your mind is making the plans, putting it all together, working out the details. Hurt people; Hurt people Hurt people hurt people I have heard this since I was very young with my Mum and Dad in a 12 step program, and then when I discovered Adult Children of Alcoholics. Hurt people do in deed hurt other people. This has been on my mind lately and it has come up for me over the past 6 months or so in various manifestations. I have been hurt, and I have hurt others. Why do we bother! Why do we bother? Why do we bother with all this self care and self improvement? What is the point of it all anyway? Either way we will move through life with or without it. Either way we are in a (human) race that no one wins. So what if I smoke and drink and the only movement I have is a bowel movement, does it make me a better person, or do I win the race, if I meditate drink coconut water and exercise regularly? Nope. There IS such a thing as normal There is such a thing as normal So many times I hear people say to me “I would love to just be normal”. And I ‘get it’. People often comment “But what is normal?” and a common response is often, “Normal is just a setting on a washing machine, there’s no such thing”. The people who say this are genuinely trying to be helpful. If there is a setting that is normal, then there sure as hell are other settings that are NOT normal, suggesting that there is in an indicator pointing toward 06/18/2017
